Why Choose Us?
Why choose to work with Scott Homes? We're a part of the community and we have over 35 years of experience building solid, safe and healthy family homes.
We believe in integrity. We believe in quality. We believe in continually improving our already rigid standards for sustainable, energy efficient homes for our customers.
Doing Things Better Just Makes Sense
Our standards for quality are high because it just makes sense. It makes sense to build you a home that will be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It makes sense to build a home that will have cleaner, healthier air. It makes sense to build a home that will last a lifetime.
That's why we...
-
Certify all our homes to Energy Star ratings. We take energy efficiency seriously. We also certify our homes to EPA Indoor airPLUS qualifications to minimize your exposure to pollutants (including mold, moisture, carbon monoxide and toxic chemicals).
-
Build exclusively with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), which make your home stronger, quieter and significantly more energy efficient, and significantly better than code.
-
Build with triple pane windows as a standard product, which will keep 30%* more heat in and noise pollution out.
-
Install ductless heat pumps (DHP) instead of standard furnaces. The DHP won't fill your air with dirt, dust and mold. A DHP will cut your utility bills by more than half, when compared to a traditional central electric heating system.
-
Install Heat Recovery Ventilators. This is part of our strategy to improve your indoor air quality.
-
Install Heat Pump Water Heaters. 71% more efficient than a standard electric 50-gallon water heater. Utilizing heat pump technology to absorb the heat in ambient air and transfers it into water.
Our Extreme Green Standard
It is our personal mission as a general contractor in the South Sound area to continually step up our game - not because building code standards demand it, but because we are passionate and dedicated to building extreme green homes.
The standards we set for our company are already far above code standards - but that's not good enough. We strive to improve our Extreme Green game because it is our passion.
We Have Done the Research For You
You will not have to play detective and spend hours reading through consumer reports, or digging online through websites and articles. There's no need to go to various stores and quiz the salesmen to find out which green products are not only the best, but are the best ones that make sense for your unique needs.
You will not have to spend time figuring out which products are worth the money, and which products are a waste of money. You can spend your time on more important decisions, like designing your dream home.
We take care of all that for you, because it is what we love doing. With more than 30 years experience, we are pretty darn good at it too!
Your Investment in Your Dream Home
Building a custom home is an investment. It's an investment of your money and your time. In the health of you and of your family. In the environment. It's an investment in your future.
Because unlike the national average where people move every three years when they build tract build home—most people never leave or sell their custom home.
