Scott Homes builds the most energy efficient houses we have ever seen. We have radiant floor heat, but the house is so tight that we haven't turned our heat on for two winters. The temperature rarely goes below 68 degrees.

We have built two homes with Scott Bergford- in '92 and '99. Both times he made the building experience progress appreciably less stressful and we were very pleased with the final product. 

In the case of the second and current house, our home was built with Premier SIPs and radiant floor heating. Scott assured us at the beginning that these features would guarantee a superior structurally sound, highly energy efficient, quality built, and a most comfortable home. 

We were not disappointed and were convinced all homes should be built this way. In December 2006, the quality and efficiency of our home was tested during a power outage lasting several days. 

During that chilling week, without the comforts of electricity and our normal heat source, our interior temperature never dipped below 63 degrees and we made it through that time with minimal discomfort. Without hesitation, I would insist on Scott Homes building our next home.
